Black Sunday Film Festival 2026 Schedule

We are absolutely delighted to announce that the schedule for this year’s Black Sunday Film Festival is now live!

The majority of the screenings will also be showing a selection of short films before the feature presentation starts. You’ll see the full details of what’s showing in the listings below.

Friday 30th January 2026


10:20am – 12:20pm: Lunatic: The Luna Vachon Story

Dir: Kate Kroll

Lunatic profiles the complex life of famed WWF women’s wrestler Luna Vachon who, while battling for glory inside the wrestling ring, was also battling her inner demons outside the ring.


12:50pm – 2:50pm: What the Tide Dragged In

Dir: Patricio Valladares

Two sisters scatter their mother’s ashes on a remote Chilean beach, but after one sister (Martina) has a near-drowning, she returns acting strangely, hinting at something sinister from the ocean.

Includes the short films Border and Dormant.


3:20pm – 5:20pm: GroupChat

Dir: Dan Brownlie

After a lengthy absence from games master Dean, a group of friends come back online to take part in a role playing game called ‘Necromancer’. His newly curated campaign becomes more eventful than planned.

Includes the short film A Screen In A Room.


5:50pm – 7:50pm: Inferno

Dir: Brandon Gotto

A young detective from the Criminal Investigation Division with a history of abuse, is laid off as an intervention goes awry. Following the disappearance of a young girl she will conduct her own investigation and follow the trail of a man with a troubled and violent past who claims to have settled down.

Includes the short film A Drive At Dawn and The Bait.


3:20pm – 5:20pm: Deathstalker

Dir: Stephen Kostanski

A remake of the cult classic 1983 sword and sorcery film. The Kingdom of Abraxeon is under siege by the Dreadites, heralds of the long-dead sorcerer Nekromemnon. When Deathstalker recovers a cursed amulet from a corpse-strewn battlefield, he’s marked by dark magick and hunted by monstrous assassins. To survive, he must break the curse and face the rising evil.

After their father’s death, long kept secrets and a peculiar link to France lead two estranged brothers and their disabled mother to an unimaginable outcome.

Haunted by strange urges and visions, a pregnant woman named Sara accepts an invitation to dinner that spirals into a bloody, demented nightmare.

5:50pm – 7:50pm: Traction Park Massacre

Dir: Douglas DiMonda & Adam Dubin

Young People meet Outlaw Bikers meet feral Twin Psycho-killers in a notorious abandoned water park.

Includes the short film Bloodbuzz


8:05pm – 10:05pm: The Turkish Coffee Table

Dir: Can Evrenol

A couple’s argument over a coffee table spirals into chaos when a simple mistake turns into a desperate web of lies, panic, deception, and the terrifying consequences of trying to cover up the truth.

10:35am – 12:35pm: The Dark Fantastic

Dir: LG White

The Dark Fantastic is a psychedelic dive into the mind and work of renowned film composer Simon Boswell. This immersive journey explores Boswell’s innovative approach to music and his impact on cinema.


1:00pm – 3:00pm: Loner

Dir: Charlie Robb & Douglas Tawn

An aspiring vlogger goes on a wilderness retreat to a cabin in the woods, where he is held captive by an ancient, natural force.

Includes the short film Bangs.


3:30pm – 5:30pm: Cult Film Secret Screening

Dir: ???

As is the Black Sunday tradition, we will be closing the 2025 festival with a stone-cold cult classic! This rare big-screen appearance is absolutely not to be missed!
