Black Sunday Halloween Mini Fest Schedule

Black Sunday Film Festival are once again heading back to spook out Chelmsford, and this time it’s for a one-day mini-fest. This is Black Sunday Halloween!

Taking place at the Chelmsford Everyman Cinema on Saturday, 26th October, the Black Sunday team will be bringing you a day jam-packed with some incredible horror features and short films from some of the best indie filmmakers around.

The day is split into four blocks, starting at 10:45am. Each block has one headline feature, with a selection of short films set to play before each.

Here’s what’s in store:


10:45am – 12:45pm: The Lonely Man
With The Ghost Machine

Dir: Graham Skipper. Starring: Paul Guyet, Christina Bennett Lind, Graham Skipper.

The final survivor of a global calamity faces the literal ghosts of his past, encroaching insanity, and a new threat lurking outside his door.

Short Film Presentation: Body Worn Video (dir: Tony Hipwell) & Aetherium (dir: Livvy Edwards)


1:30pm – 3:30pm: All This Time

Dir: Rob Worsey. Starring: Emily Rose Holt, Daniel De Bourg, Emma Pallant.

Trapped inside a gothic mansion in an endless time loop, Grace must unlock the secrets of the house, the enigmatic owner, and the previous night’s party, to find any hope of escaping and returning to her normal life and young child.

4:00pm – 6:00pm: Cara

Dir: Hayden Hewitt. Starring: Elle O’Hara, Johnny Vivash and Michaela Longden.

Cara, a mentally troubled woman escaped from an institution, believes in a conspiracy against her. She plans horrific acts using her show’s viewers, exploring mental health, abuse, and violence, leaving a disturbing trail.

6:30pm – 8:30pm: Cult Film Secret Screening

As is the Black Sunday tradition, we will be closing our Midsummer Scream with a stone-cold cult classic!
